BioGaia’s probiotic products with Lactobacillus reuteri are among the most scientifically well-documented probiotics in the world with regard to both efficacy and safety. To date the efficacy and safety of BioGaia’s different strains of L. reuteri have been documented in 217 clinical studies in 18,000 people of all ages.
Lactobacillus reuteri has shown results in 105 clinical studies in children, from newborns up to 18 years old, and 98 studies in adults. Probiotic strains that have been used in clinical trials are BioGaia Protectis (DSM 17938), BioGaia Gastrus (ATCC PTA 6475) and BioGaia Prodentis (ATCC PTA 52899. Results have been published in 180 papers in scientific journals (January 2020). We have extended our BioGaia range as a result of this research and the benefits their probiotics provide. We now stock BioGaia Gastrus which has been proven to significantly reduce bone density loss.
We have been the sole Irish selling agent for BioGaia for 8 years now, supplying probiotics to help
support digestive system to help reduce colicky crying and bone density loss. Probiotics are proven to support the immune system which is more important than ever now.
We have extended our BioGaia range, as we know BioGaia have done a huge amount of research on
the benefits their probiotics provide.
We also now stock Sona’s Baby Biotic, the other strain of the probiotic family, Bifidobacterium, that supports babies’ digestive systems.
They are a great addition to our product offering for babies with digestive issues, Constipation, Colic,
Silent reflux and CMPA.
